Panoramio Images is a Wordpress plugin with the purpose of retrieving images from panoramio.com. For those of you who dont know, Panoramio.com is a geolocation-oriented photo sharing website.

The users of Panoramio contributes with tons of quality images and it really proves itself to be an excellent resource. Especially since it allows you to show their images on your webpage. It really adds another dimension to your blog.
This plugin will add a widget to all posts which contains a custom field called “panoramio” and then check its value for coordinates.
The plugin is a work in progress and still needs a lot of improvements. If you feel something is missing or if you’ve found a bug, don’t hesitate to contact me.

Hi,
First of all, Thank you vermy much for the Panoramio Wordpress Plugin, which will be very useful for a new project I am currently working on.
Just one question: Is there a way to show the title of a photo (“photo_title”) and/or the author’s name in the “alt”- or “title”-tag of an image?
I tried a lot but couldn’t figure it out how to output the title of an image.
Thanks in advance!
Regards,
Marc

Hi Marc,
Im glad to hear that you are enjoying the plugin. I will be updating the plugin shortly and it will show the photos title as both alt and title tags. I’ve just uploaded version 1.2 which enables AJAX and the “See more photos” button.

Thats a nice plugin, we need more like this for Panoramio. Mybe this can be converted to a standard web widget inseat of being for wordpress.
I have myself developed something similar, its a holiday countdown widget which shows panoramio pics:

Does anyone know of any more places which list all 3rd party Panoramio related tools?
