Motivational poster generator script

A recent experiment with PHPs imaging functions resulted in a little project I’d like to call Motivator. It’s a motivational poster generator licensed under GPL 3.

The script arranges an user supplied image along with some text, also supplied by the user, as a motivational poster. Here’s a preview if you’d like to try it. You’ll find the source code here.

Hey there, I’ve been playing with your generator, and you didn’t include the vertical format in your source files, and it doesn’t work onsite here either. Just though you’d like to know. Great job on everything else though.

PHP Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STRING in motivational.php on line 29

Parse error because of “goto”, not supported in many PHP versions. Btw. is it possible to get lower image size? Max cca 100 kB?

Hey guys!

Since there is somewhat of a demand for this script I can update it. But you need to specify what it is you want to be updated and if you get errors you need to specify what errors.

I’ve tested the script on my own server, my webhost and some random servers and it has always worked.

I can’t promise that the script will work if you use old versions of php/apache or the libraries that the script utilizes.

Turn on error reporting either in the config file or directly in the script itself. Post the errors here and I’ll take a look at them

To all others, the script does work as long as you have the libraries installed and you have set up the permissions correctly. The webuser that is running the server needs to have writing rights for the uploading folder. Otherwise it will just throw an error.
